Arthritis and Chronic Pain

Biokinetic Support for Arthritis and Chronic Pain

Chronic pain associated with arthritis, chronic medical conditions and previous injuries can significantly affect mobility, daily function and overall quality of life.

At Bokamoso Mthimkulu Biokineticist, we provide structured and individualised movement rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving mobility, strength and functional capacity while supporting the management of persistent pain symptoms.

Our approach focuses on safe, progressive exercise and movement strategies tailored to each individual’s abilities, goals and level of function.

The aim is to help individuals move with greater confidence, improve participation in daily activities and maintain physical independence over time.

Our process

All individuals undergo a comprehensive initial assessment to evaluate movement, functional ability, medical history and rehabilitation goals.

Following the assessment, a feedback session is conducted to discuss the findings, outline the rehabilitation plan and provide appropriate home-based exercises where necessary.

Treatment sessions are typically scheduled once or twice weekly, depending on the individual’s needs and rehabilitation goals. Home exercise programmes are regularly reviewed and adjusted to support ongoing progress.

Reassessments are completed periodically to monitor progress, evaluate functional improvements and make any necessary adjustments to the rehabilitation programme.
